TriCounty Buddy Walk®
The Buddy Walk® program was established in 1995 by the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) to promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome.
Since 1995, the Buddy Walk® has become the premier advocacy event for Down syndrome in the United States. It is also the world’s most widely recognized public awareness program for the Down syndrome community.
Locally, the Buddy Walk® came to Anderson in the year 2000. The walk has served as a family fun day for families in the upstate and beyond. We are proud to announce that as of 2018 our local walk is now called the TriCounty Buddy Walk. This change more accurately reflects the area that the majority of our participants live in and our affiliation with the TriCounty Trisomy 21 support group.
Thank you to our 2019 sponsors!
